Conflict and war can be a difficult subject to cover with younger children. But it is something they can be introduced to and explaining its meaning in it's simplest form means they have a foundation for future learning as they grow older. Use the poppy as a starting point for discussion, as these will be a common sight leading up to Remembrance Day.
